Will Virgin Casino And Poker Enter The USA?
A million dollar question that is being raised these days is whether Virgin Casino and Poker will enter the USA? Egaming Review Magazine has stated, that the company is weighing the pros and cons of pushing into the US markets of California and Florida, and regulating markets in countries like France, Spain and South Africa. This move is anticipated to be with their online casino gambling poker brand.
California and Florida, which are two of the biggest markets in the US, are the states to which the article primarily refers. In the event of the Virgin Group pushing into the US, it would become turn out to be the first European-based company to accept US online gamblers, ever since the UIGEA banned online gambling in the US in 2006. However, the group is on the look out for commercial partners who can fund marketing budgets in the above-mentioned countries.
CEO Simon Burridge of the Virgin Group categorically told Egaming Review that while the company has a proven track record of success in marketing, it cant always raise funds to back every project that is proposed. He also disclosed that the company is planning to expand the Virgin games brand from one just online gaming to a ‘total gaming’ destination, through a deal with Game Domain International, a hi-tech company which can offer more than 200 games for download. This agreement would however mean that Virgin would be allowed to market itself in the areas of non-gambling games as well, in expectancy of the legalization of online gaming in the US and other markets, which is currently banned. So its hard work for the Virgin Group as they cross shores in their endeavor to become a ‘total gaming’ destination; for the world by and large.
